too clean to be true

This shaving brush wasn't, of course, used for shaving. I was probably the only member of my unit who actually shaved with a shaving brush, but that's a different story. When I enlisted I actually thought that the brush we were issued was supposed to be used for shaving, though as soon as I had to clean and reclean (and reclean) my rifle, I learned that I'd been mistaken. This one lasted me for many years, and I find it amazing that it stayed as clean as it did.
