Week 20:       August 1- August 7, 1991

You took your first trip to Jerusalem this week. My guess is that you didn't really see the sights, or even feel that you were anywhere different than where you normally are, but for the record, you were there. Your mother and I took a few days of vacation and since we didn't want to be too active (you might find that exciting, but it also would have been pretty straining on your mother) we decided to stay by friends in Jerusalem and visit museums and wander around the city. So though you didn't use your legs at all, you really got around quite a bit. And it was good you came along - had we had to send you a postcard, we wouldn't have known where to send it, or even to whom to address it.

And we've got news for you. For a change, not only you have been gaining weight. Your mother put on two kilos since she was last weighed. We're pleased with this, of course, but there's never anything positive without a drawback. All this time we've been waiting for her to put on weight - and now that she is, we have to worry about whether or not she's doing so too quickly.

It's good you came along with us to Jerusalem. Had you not come, we wouldn't have known where to send a postcard.
