I doubt that there's anything in that report that would be surprising to readers of HaAretz. I'm attaching a Google Translate, slightly edited by me, version of the article.
And how did our day go? First, the night went very well. We were awakened by the preliminary siren at 07:10, meaning that we, and I guess almost all the rest of Israel, got something like a full night's sleep. That prelim didn't materialize into anything by us, though an hour later it did. We spent about twenty minutes in the safe room, and we did so again at 12:30, with Eitan joining us since he had just come over for lunch.
Around 17:00 we had another preliminary alert that again wasn't ultimately in our area (though I'm quite sure I saw the smoke of an Iron Dome interception when I looked outside) and since then, until when I've returned to writing these notes at 23:00, it's been quiet.
Had there not been a war we'd probably have gotten into the car and taken Phil and Debbie to someplace interesting not too far from us, though had there not been a war chances are good that Eitan would have continued touring with them up north for another day. Instead, we hung around the house, and it was quite pleasant. But even if it's been quiet by us, and relatively quiet in Israel throughout the day, it seems that Israel has decided that some shelling from Hizbullah from Lebanon last night merits a serious attack on them, and this suggests that our northern border will be warming up again. Until now the military assumption had been that Hizbullah, still weak from the Gaza war, didn't want to provoke Israel into retaliating. It's unclear whether we need an additional front, or where this will lead.
This morning, via a mailing from Medium, I found what I think is the first article I've seen rooting for an Iranian victory. It's from ten days ago - before the American/Israeli attack: Jon Wight - Victory to Iran will be best of all possible outcomes (https://archive.li/1KQTV). I've seen other articles by this person, including ones that root for Russia against Ukraine (of course it's NATO's actions that provoked Russia). I guess these are leftovers from when there was only one imperialist power that caused all the evil in the world. I admit, I've got more than just a bit of nostalgia for when things were so much easier and we instinctively knew who the good guys were, but I really did think that we'd progressed beyond that, and that we now know that there are lots of bad guys to choose from. Am I happy that Israel has aligned itself with the imperialist west? Not particularly, but I don't see how aligning with Russia or China would be any better.
It's now 01:00, Tuesday. We just came out of our safe room after about ten minutes there. As I'd earlier noted, it was a quiet evening. Tzippi was about to take her shower (she could have showered considerably earlier but got caught up in the puzzle she was working on). I'd been watching CNN for a change when the preliminary alert sounded, so I moved to Israeli television, and only shortly thereafter we got the alert for our area. Though we've gotten our all clear, people in the north are still being told to stay in their safe rooms.
And now I'm after my shower, relieved that there's nothing new to report. Our last alert changed my timing. I wouldn't have minded sending this perhaps twenty minutes ago and crawling into bed. I still have to dry off a bit, but there's no reason not to sign off now, hoping for a quiet night.
