already long ago

We were in North America during the summer of 2003. I have a number of envelopes of materials (mostly papers) which are still waiting, probably indefinitely, to be reviewed. Since most of what's there can probably be thrown out without anyone ever missing it, there's probably no reason to save them.

But just maybe there's something there which I really wanted to save, an idea that I've been meaning to develop, a memento that begs to be filed away. This particular baggage claim tag isn't that memento, but instead a reminder that I haven't yet gotten around to the task of reviewing those items, of wading through them and making sure that there's nothing there I really want. It also has an interesting feel in my pocket.
