a reminder of tasks that await

As part of the packing process, I had to take apart quite a number of simple cabinets and drawers. Some of these will be put together again after we return to our house, while we'll undoubtedly discover that there are others which we thought we might want, but ultimately don't really need.

These screws, inside a small plastic bag, are from one of those cabinets. It's easier for me to keep the screws in my pocket than store them away someplace and then forget where I've put them. On the other hand, as of this writing, I seem to have forgotten which cabinet they belong to. Finding out which one, however, probably won't be very difficult when I'll finally be able to attend to the task of putting things back together again.

In contrast to the other items I've found in my pockets, these are much less enjoyable to palm. They neither soothe or recall associations. They're simply there.
