never really
something to write home about
I bought this turntable before moving to Israel. It was a bit more
expensive than the cheapest model available because the cheaper
one couldn't be converted to the cycles that Israeli currency uses.
Until I cleaned out the attic I had been convinced (and
even noted here) that I'd thrown it out. Though it was a relatively
modern model for its time it still was built for stacking records
one on top of the other for "continuous" play, causing
harm to my extensive record collection by doing so. We still have
a working turntable in the house, though "working" means,
in this case, that it's functional, not that it actually sees much
use.
Of course today just about any turntable is totally outdated. Come
to think of it, that's probably true of most CD players as well.
