it comes with the job

As a medic I had lots of equipment specific to my job. Usually this was issued at the beginning of a stint of service, and returned at the end. Probably one of the greatest fears an army medic has is losing the morphium he's signed for, though the chances of somebody taking it are much smaller than somebody taking the scissors. I had lots of extra medical equipment that I'd bring with me each year, though the simple fact that it stayed with me each year basically meant that I wasn't going to use it, and that there wasn't any reason to bring it with me. This airway was kept with my army equipment and, unlike the one I kept in civilian life, only surfaced when I had to serve.
